Privacy Policy

BlueFlower, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company (“us”, “we,” or “Company”) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of its customers, visitors and other uses of Company’s website located at www.blueflower.us (the “Site”). This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes the privacy practices for using the Site. This Policy applies solely to information collected by this Site and does not apply to any information on other sites even if you access another site through this Site. The Policy notifies you about the following:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the Site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this Site. We collect information from you when you register on the Site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, write a review or participate in another Site feature, including a blog. When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information.

We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us or to fulfill an order. As with many sites, we use “cookies” in order to make it easier for you to use the Site and to gather information about users or visitors of the Site. Please see the topic identified as “Cookies” below for additional information.

We will not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal identifiable information with any third party outside of our organization without first providing you with advance notice, except as specified below. A third party does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our Site, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.  We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our Site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.

The rules in the above paragraph apply to personal identifiable information. Any non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.

Unless you ask us not to through our “opt-in” or “opt-out” procedure (see next section), we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this Policy.

Choice and Opt-out: Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time or change any of your account information by accessing the “My Account” section of the Site. Any change will be effective for emails, orders or other action not yet in process. We may also retain any information changed or deleted by you for record-keeping purposes.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Site, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is transmitted to us in a secure way through the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and is then encrypted. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page. Please understand, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If a password is used to protect your account and personal information, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only workers who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

You must promptly notify us if your credit card, user name or password is lost, stolen or used without permission. In such an event, we will remove that credit card number, user name or password from your account and update our records accordingly.

Cookies

We use “cookies” on this Site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a Site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our Site and identify repeat visitors to our Site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our Site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our Site.

We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our Site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business. In some cases, our third-party service providers may use cookies on our Sites. We have no access to or control over these cookies. This Policy covers the use of cookies by the Company only, and does not cover the use of cookies by third parties.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use other interactive features of our sites and services that depend on cookies but you will be able to perform basic navigation through the Site.

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

We employ or our third party advertising partners may employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our Site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. If you would like to opt-out of these emails, please see “Choice and Opt-out” above.

Children

This Site does not deal with information relevant to children under the age of 13. As such, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from such children. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your children have provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers and other systems.

Third Party Links

This Site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We do, however, welcome any feedback about any other sites including if a link does not work. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Public Information

As mentioned above, our Site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. We also make chat rooms, forums, message boards and news groups available to you. Please understand that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information. We have no control over its use and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time our Site requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this Site.

Changes in this Policy

If we decide to change this Policy, we will post those changes to this Policy, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you here, by email or by means of a notice on our home page.
